The 37th Gawad CCP Para sa Alternatibong Pelikula at Video finalists are now available to stream on Cinemata from October 23, 2025, to January 4, 2026!
The Gawad CCP Para sa Alternatibong Pelikula at Video, commonly referred to as Gawad Alternatibo, is the longest-running independent film competition of its kind in Southeast Asia. Since 1987, Gawad Alternatibo annually cites the best works of Filipino filmmakers in four categories: Animation, Experimental, Documentary, and Narrative.
This is the 4th year that Cinemata serves as the official streaming platform for Gawad Alternatibo since the 34th Gawad Alternatibo.
The 37th Gawad Alternatibo returns with the theme Pasiklab, inviting viewers to ignite curiosity, creativity, and conversations from the four categories: Animation, Experimental, Documentary, and Narrative.
A total of 35 finalists are available to stream, including 9 from the Narrative category, 9 from the Documentary category, 8 from the Experimental category, and 9 from the Animation category.
