All About ‘Bar Boys: The Musical’ 2025 Rerun at Arete
After two successful sold-out runs at Power Mac Center Blackbox Theater in Makati last year, Barefoot Theatre Collaborative is not yet closing the case just yet as Bar Boys: The Musical returns with an all-new electrifying staging at Arete.
Based on the 2017 Pista ng Pelikulang Pilipino film entry by Kip Oebanda, Bar Boys: The Musical follows the journey of four friends — Erik, Chris, Torran, and Josh — who hope to become lawyers and change the world. But as the realities of school and life set in, their friendship, values, and faith are put to the test. The musical, helmed by Pat Valera (book and lyrics) and Myke Salomon (music and lyrics), has since captured the hearts of theatergoers for its heartwarming tale of friendship and justice.
