Iranian Film Festival is coming to the Philippines for the first time

Attention to all film enthusiasts! Mark your calendars because Iranian cinema is coming to the Philippines. In celebration of the 60th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Iran and the Philippines, The Cultural Center of the Philippines and Embassy of the Islamic of Iran-Manila, alongside UP Film Institute, presents the first-ever Iranian Film Festival (IFF 2024). Showcasing Iranian films for Filipino audiences in an effort to strengthen and fortify diplomatic ties between Iran and the Philippines.
The festival opens on February 6 at the Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez with the film “The Survivor” by Seifolla Dad, a historical-drama about Arab-Israeli conflict that follows around the family of a Palestinian doctor who lives with his wife and infant son, as they face the Zionist Israeli occupation in the city of Haifa. The festival screenings will continue from February 7-9 at the UPFI Film Center.
