The Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival and Ayala Malls Cinemas have announced an official partnership whereby Ayala Malls Cinemas will be showcasing all of the featured works of the 2026 CinePanalo in select theatres. The partnership is an unprecedented move, and a show of commitment by Puregold to make the upcoming third-ever CinePanalo the biggest and best edition of the festival yet.
For the entire duration of the festival, Ayala Malls will be showcasing the seven original full-length films and twenty student-made shorts in six malls across Metro Manila. The malls hosting the 2026 CinePanalo will be Market! Market! in Taguig, Trinoma in Quezon City, Fairview Terraces in Quezon City, Ayala Malls Feliz in Pasig, Ayala Malls Manila Bay in Parañaque, and Ayala Malls Circuit in Makati.
Puregold and Ayala Malls shared that each cinema was strategically selected to ensure the widest possible reach for CinePanalo. Locations in Taguig and Makati were chosen for their vibrant, culture-driven communities that have long championed local artistry and independent cinema. Pasig, meanwhile, reflects a growing and diverse base of cinema-goers from all walks of life—mirroring the breadth of Filipino stories showcased at CinePanalo. The Parañaque’s location lies right at the heart of a bustling mixed-use development with an emphasis on entertainment and cultural events. Completing the circuit are two cinemas in Quezon City, selected for their deep-rooted creative communities and direct access to student, youth, and family audiences, further strengthening CinePanalo’s connection to the next generation of Filipino storytellers.
“Partnering with Ayala Malls helps bring the 2026 CinePanalo to as many Filipinos as possible,” says Puregold Senior Marketing Manager Ivy Hayagan-Piedad. “As the festival continues to grow, we truly value partnerships like this that stand by the cause of unleashing Filipino cinema’s untapped potential.”
For Ayala Malls, the choice to partner with Puregold CinePanalo was easy, especially considering the success of the first two editions of the festival.
“CinePanalo’s advocacy greatly aligns with Ayala Malls’ vision and values. At its core, CinePanalo puts the Filipino audience first—highlighting stories that reflect their lives, dreams, and everyday victories,” said Yvette Roldan, Head of Ayala Malls’ Ancillary Business. “This resonates with our commitment to meaningful and culturally-relevant experiences at Ayala Malls Cinemas.”
Roldan believes that CinePanalo’s support for student and regional filmmakers reflects a spirit of succeeding together, fostering collaboration and inclusivity across the film community. It’s this bold approach to storytelling and genre freedom that Roldan believes reflects Puregold and Ayala Malls’ shared drive to innovate and encourage fresh perspectives and creative risk-taking.
The Puregold CinePanalo has thus far produced a number of films that have gone on to showcase and even compete in film festivals across the world, from other Asian countries to Europe and Africa. The partnership with Ayala Malls, Puregold says, is an opportunity to allow more Filipinos to witness the kind of world-class talent that the CinePanalo has proven to produce.
“As we celebrate the wins of our CinePanalo alums in film festivals across the globe, we are, of course, always brought back to the purpose of the CinePanalo, which is to tell true, Filipino stories. That’s why it is important for us at Puregold that these stories reach the same people who inspire them,” says Hayagan-Piedad. “Working with Ayala Malls allows the festival to reach more audiences, giving these films the platform they deserve while carrying the panalo spirit reflected in each story.”
