As a valued partner  of Puregold CinePanalo, IM Rentals has pledged to sponsor workshops, as well as provide PHP100,000 worth of equipment rentals and studio space.

(IM Rentals/IM Creative Space), affirmed: “IM is gratified to partner with Puregold CinePanalo in celebrating creativity, empowering storytellers, and amplifying the diverse voices of Philippine cinema.” Galang, however, further asserted that “the partnership is a shared commitment to building a thriving creative community where every filmmaker has the chance to be heard and seen.”

The alliance comes at an auspicious time as 2026 promises to be the biggest year in the Puregold CinePanalo’s history. The festival is offering its largest production grants yet, with student filmmakers set to receive PHP200,000 each to produce their dream short film. On top of this, IM Rentals’ significant contributions are set to make the event a can’t-miss opportunity for young directors to practice their craft at a professional level.

“As one of the country’s foremost providers of top-of-the-line filmmaking equipment, IM Rentals will be an invaluable resource to our student filmmakers,” said Ivy Hayagan-Pieded, Puregold senior marketing manager and festival chair. “This first-time partnership will immensely benefit our students who will have the finest equipment possible to bring their visions to life.”

The 20 student filmmakers selected for the film festival will each receive a cinematography workshop care of IM Rentals. In that time, they will also be shown the wide array of equipment available that they can lease using IM Rentals’ PHP100,000 sponsorship. Overall, IM Rentals will provide not only the tools to create high-quality cinema, but also the experience and knowledge to truly elevate the work of these young filmmakers.

The 20 student short films will be screened as part of the Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival at Gateway Cineplex 18 and select Ayala Malls Cinemas in 2026. All films selected for the lineup will be eligible for recognition at the annual Puregold CinePanalo awards night, where IM Rentals will also present a special award to deserving filmmakers.

“At IM Rentals, we believe stories shape culture and deserve access to the tools that bring those stories to life, empowering creators from beginners to pros. Through this collaboration, we hope to spark new opportunities for Filipino filmmakers to grow, connect, and share their stories with the world,” said Galang.
