After making ripples in Makati with sold out shows of 3 Upuan in Archivo 1984 and Dagitab in Power Mac Center Spotlight, Scene Change returns to Quezon City.
3 Upuan is a play that explores our notions of time, grief, and family through the lens of siblings awaiting their father’s passing. Scene Change, an emerging Filipino theatre company, brings 3 Upuan back to Areté this October. Jojit Lorenzo, JC Santos & Martha Comia, partners of Scene Change and original cast of 3 Upuan, pass the baton to a brand new cast featuring Paolo O’Hara, Cris Pasturan, and Jasmine Curtis-Smith.
Written and directed by Guelan Varela-Luarca and presented by Scene Change in partnership with Areté, 3Upuan has had an exciting journey so far — from its premiere in late 2024 in the Hyundai Hall Dressing Room, to a February 2025 run at Areté's Campos Laboratory, and an August 2025 run at Archivo 1984 in Makati.
After three critically-acclaimed and sold out runs, 3 Upuan remains to be a very intimate theatrical experience that is especially close and impactful for audiences. This upcoming run will be held at the Ateneo Art Gallery in Areté, Ateneo. Seating is limited, with only 60 seats available per show.
Tickets are priced at PHP 1,600 and are now available for purchase at bit.ly/SC3UpuanOctober2025. To learn more about Scene Change and 3Upuan, follow them on Facebook at Sc. Scene Change and on Instagram at @sc.scenechange.
