Tanghalang Pilipino’s ‘Gregoria Lakambini’ set for November

The 39th theater season of Tanghalang Pilipino is still in full swing for another hero will grace the stage of CCP Blackbox Theater. Brace yourselves as Gregoria de Jesus’ story finally takes flight on stage this November with Tanghalang Pilipino’s new offering Gregoria Lakambini.
The musical, written by Nicanor Tiongson and Eljay Castro Deldoc, with music by Nica Del Rosario, Matthew Chang, and Flip Music, follows her transformation from a spirited girl in Caloocan to the "Lakambini of the Katipunan," standing beside Andres Bonifacio in both love and revolution.
The production features an all-female cast led by Marynor Madamesila as Gregoria de Jesus. The rest of the cast includes Anya Evangelista as Andres Bonifacio/Ensemble, Heart Puyong as Emilio Aguinaldo/Ensemble, Sofia Sacaguing as Julio Nakpil/Ensemble, Sarah Monay as part of the ensemble and the understudy for Gregoria de Jesus, and Ynna Rafa and Murline Uddin as members of the ensemble. Joie Eborde and Ronah De la Peña are the swings for the production.
The production will last for a month, starting on November 14 until December 14, at the CCP Blackbox Theater, also known as Tanghalang Ignacio Gimenez. All Friday show dates will have 8PM shows. Saturday shows will have 3PM and 8PM shows, while Sunday shows will only have 3PM shows.
