The Playbook Club will premiere a new twinbill production titled First Love, Last Love this June. Both plays written by Rafael Jimenez deal with different kinds of young love, and how the world (and people in power) can come between young people and their aspirations. The plays reflect on questions about love and how to find the light in the world as it grows dimmer. The cast and creative team mostly feature a group of rising Gen Z talents in the theater scene.

Napapanahon’s premise follows Ruby Versoza, one week before her wedding, defying odds for a chance to speak to her ex-high school sweetheart one last time. The play is directed by Pia Ysobel Cruz. The cast involves Los Akiyama as Arthur and Erika Rafael as Ruby.

CoR (Commission on Relationships), directed by Zoë De Ocampo, is set in a not-so-distant future, where the government puts a large tax on having romantic relationships, Lau and Luna navigate a Philippines that outlaws unregistered relationships. The cast includes Luna: Dippy Arceo as Luna, Rafael Jimenez as Lau, Cholo Ledesma as Aris/Clerk, and JV Felgencio as Officer/Senator.

The creative team of the team bill includes Missy Marmara as intimacy director, G Roi Reyno as lights designer, Uriel Tibayan as sounds designer, Francisco Yabut as technical director, Fifi Santelices for makeup & styling, and Jaennina for photography

The play will only run on June 20,(7PM) and June 22 (3PM and 7PM). All tickets are at Php 850 each. Go to tinyurl.com/FLLLTicketForm to purchase.
